Recently, I heard bad things hip hop artists who beats online download. I myself was a victim of a scam.
So what's the problem?
Well there have been many recent reports of people who steal hip hop beats from producers and sell them on their own web page. In some cases, these "crooks" download hip-hop that are "downloads free "page of the producer, and benefit from them. In other cases, the beats are bought and sold to the producer on another website.
I myself, as a producer, have been the victim of this scam. I was informed by another artist who had seen one of my beats for sale on Web page of another producer. The thief was selling one of my beats, rhythms and about 50 other stolen on its own page.
What can you To protect yourself from buying hip-hop beats stolen? Here are some tips:
1. Analyze the producer page. Is it professional looking? He contact information including phone number and e-mail? These things can be said about the legitimacy of a producer and removal fraudsters.
2. Before downloading hip-hop beats or make purchases, contact the manufacturer. Call or write to him / her and ask them questions about of their terms of agreement and license information. If they do makes no license agreements when you buy, you should be skeptical of how business with them.
